The ”Uspinjača” is a steep funicular that can climb you up from the Lower Town to the Upper Town in less than a minute, getting you close to the Lotrščak tower. A lot of fun and excitement for kids! Departure is from Tomićeva Street, off Ilica, right in the centre. The cable cars leave every ten minutes from 6.30 am to 10 pm. The price of a single ticket is 5 kuna. Once you get up there, you can still climb the narrow staircase of the Lotrščak tower (kids 10 kn, adults 20 kn) to reach the top and get a clear 360-degree view of the entire city. Beware if you are there around noon, cover your ears or, better still, do not tell your spouse and your kids, that its main feature is the cannon that fires very loudly at that time and, they will be, well, surprised!
