One of the most interesting designers of this decade, Gosha Rubchinskiy began his DIY approach to street wear in 2008, with the production of just ten t-shirts. By 2012, he was selling over 50,000 worldwide. Today, the photographer/designer has become the face of a new generation of Russian youth. The directional designs of Gosha Rubchinskiy are characterised by extravagant details and have a Russian flair. The brand is known for its' street wear collections which are inspired by his own youth, the punk scene and Russian hooligan (“gopnik”) styles from the 1990’s. With all production handled by Comme des Garçons, Gosha now presents full ready-to-wear collections, including suiting, outerwear, denim and accessories. Still, his graphic tees and hoodies hold a special place in our hearts.
In Russia, Rubchinskiy's clothing can be found at the KM20 concept store, which, in addition to his characteristically functional collections, collaborative designs and perfume, also sells books.
