A small place but by no means less interesting, the museum is located in the Psychoanalytic Institute on the Petrograd Side. Follow along the corridor to the left to find the museum. The first of the two rooms details a short history of Freud and his life (English translation available on handout) while the second room features an art installation. This dream-like installation of suspended floating images features ancient objects (similar to those collected by Freud himself), contemporary and classical art and word texts in English, German and Russian. It explores the theory of subjective perception of images, which supposes that whatever you think they mean is valid, but entirely up to you. Recommended for admirers of Freud, but not a must-see for everyone else.
