The Catherine Park is made up of two parts: the Regular Park – Old Garden – and the Landscape (English) Park. The Old or Dutch Garden is said to have been begun by Peter I himself.

Great Pond Ferry Service (Catherine Park, late May through September).
Daily. No rides in rain or strong wind. Tickets (from Ferry Pier near Admiralty) 11:00 - 18:00, Fri - Sun (from Granite Pier, opposite side of Great Pond) 11:00 - 18:00. Audio-guided tours in Russian (Hall on the Island, Chesme Rostral Column). Adults – 200Rbl. Students and school children – 100Rbl.
No fixed days. No rides in rain or strong wind. Tickets (at Ferry Pier near Admiralty) 12:00 - 18:00.
Adults – 300Rbl. Visitors under 18 – 150Rbl. 30-minute rent with gondolier for 1 to 8 persons – 2400Rbl.
