The highlight here is the cafe's prime location; nestled on the second floor of the famous bookstore Dom Knigi, the cafe's huge windows offer stunning views of Nevsky and the epically curved Kazansky Cathedral. The cafe serves decent coffee and pastries as well as classic Russian dishes like borsch and pelmeni. In the morning they offer very good breakfast options. Take note of the daily specials - every day the kitchen offers something new with seasonal ingredients. And don't worry, the staff all speak English and an English menu is available. Though prices are a little steep, the view is worth just stopping in for a coffee or tea.
