Cafe Flora exploits its close proximity to the palace as the uninteresting exterior hides the cosy and kitschy interiors. There are three areas with an upper mezzanine for trendy fashionables to sip cocktails and also a large palm-filled, green house with waterfall and little moat in the back. They have an extensive drinks choice including wines and a range of beers on tap. The food is just good-enough Russian and Arabic dishes but the salad portfolio is enormous with over thirty in the menu. Avoid anything too exotic, including the sushi, however.
