As one of the few pre-Mongol buildings that survived in Pskov, the Mirozhsky Monastery has a long and incredible history. The monastery’s Christ Transfiguration Cathedral is known for its beautiful frescoes, which have been preserved since the 12th century. Entrance into the monastery is free and occasionally interactive excursions are held. Paying the monastery a visit just to stroll through its garden is already a good enough reason to do so. The monastery grounds have a certain silence and serenity that make them a perfect place to enjoy a moment of rest, and the site has been included on the UNESCO list of outstanding architectural landmarks.
