Formerly the home of numerous textile factories that was developed by the industrialist Ludwik Geyer in the 19th century, this stunning piece of Łódź history is booming again, although under different circumstances. The 19 revitalized factory buildings of Ogrody Geyera (ENG: The Geyer Gardens) have transformed into a mix of old industrial and integrated modern greenery and fixtures, which are now used for work, recreation, cultural activities, and a number of residential apartments. Ogrody Geyera is indeed where history truly meets the future, considered something of an oasis in Łódź recharacterising industrial grime, and with a unique charm all of its own. More importantly, the revitalized complex is also the seat of numerous Polish and international businesses, some of Łódź's best restaurants (see below), a gym, services classed with high sophistication and many more surprises.
