While Gdańsk Old Town will always be the scene of private fireworks (despite the fact they've officially stopped them for the sake of our beloved house pets) and plentiful alcohol consumption, New Year’s Eve celebrations in Gdańsk are typically highlighted by two city-organized concerts outside the city center - At Brzeźno Pier overlooking the Baltic coast, and at Jar Wilanowska Recreational Park. Public transport will operate overtime to accomodate for punter traffic. Expect plenty of pubs, clubs and restaurants running events on December 31st, often with prior reservation required!
