Eindhoven's 'second' football team actually enjoys a wide following by many fans in Holland unlike its more successful big brother PSV. Where the red and white Philips team is known for spending obscene amounts of cash on new players each year, frugal FC Eindhoven usually tries to make do with what they have and this is admired by the frugal Dutch. Although it shows up occasionally in the highest Dutch division, the blue and white team usually plays in the Eerste Divisie. Although a local match isn't quite on par with a PSV home game, it's still well worth spending an afternoon watching this enthusiastic young squad in action. Tickets are also quite affordable at €12.50 and the 4,600-seat stadium hasn't been sold out since the team was established in 1909.
