The Scandinavian countries of Finland, Sweden and Denmark top the list of Happiest Consumers in Europe, but the Netherlands received an honourable fourth place. In another list (apparently these researchers have nothing better to do) compiled by the American magazine Newsweek, the Netherlands is ranked in the Top Ten Best Countries to Live In. The criteria used by researchers included the quality of education, healthcare and the economic and political situation in the countries. The Netherlands secured eighth place on this list, which was once again topped by Finland. Sadly, the northern country is also at the top of the list for alcoholism and suicide, which makes us wonder which lists can be believed.
