Bakkertje Bol sounds like a diminutive term in Dutch, but nothing could be further from the truth. This excellent bakery, and its nearby second location, may be small in size, but both serve excellent homemade bread and baguettes filled with heaps of tasty ingredients. Just check the daily menu to see what’s on offer. Our undisputed favourite delicacy would have to be the famous worstenbroodjes, which are a mix of spicy meats and crispy bread. The cherry cookies are also worth a try and the friendly staff is another great reason to drop by these centrally located bargain eateries. Unfortunately, we're not the only locals who cherish this well-kept secret, so be prepared to queue at lunchtime.
