Żeromski Park, or to give it its full title in Polish, Park Imienia Stefana Żeromskiego (named in honour of novelist Stefan Żeromski) is found in the Żoliborz district of Warsaw, right next to Plac Wilsona Metro station, on the grounds of the former Tsarist fortification Sokolnicki Fort. Created between 1930-32, the park was designed by Leon Danielewicz and Stanisław Zadora-Życieński and built with the help of 600 unemployed labourers. It was partially destroyed in 1944, however, soon rebuilt. It underwent an extensive renovation between 2003-5.
