Driving beyong the Mesi Bridge, you'll go deeper in the Kiri valley canyon, arriving at the tiny village of Prekal - a church and 14 houses - about 25km from Shkodra. Prekal is something of a beach resort, with beautiful bathing spots and rocks to jump off along the riverbanks. Near the road, the Shpella e Zhyles cave has a small river gurgling from it. The villagers have responded by opening some restaurants, making it an attractive outing for a walk, a swim and a bite.
