Certainly inspired by Wrocław's famous gnomes, Przemyśl follows in that city's footsteps with this somewhat gimmicky but fun family-friendly attraction around the city centre. Bears have long been associated with Przemyśl - you'll find them on the coat of arms, the fountain at the centre of the market square, and in the name of the city's American football team, plus real, live brown bears are plentiful around the region, particularly in the Bieszczady Mountains south of Przemyśl. Now as you explore the city, keep your eyes peeled for these 12 bronze bear statues, each unique and representative of the bear's sponsor, many of which are directly tied to the town's character and culture. As such you might see a diminutive bear with a tobacco pipe, church bell, pizza or ice cream cone.
