What to See & Do in Jasło
Jasło is today known for its vineyards and referred to as the ‘Capital of Polish Wine.’
The area’s biggest and most important attraction is Carpathian Troy, just outside Jasło in Trzcinica. Located on the site of an early Bronze Age hillfort, this 8ha open-air archaeological park includes a modern exhibition area, observation tower, and reconstructions of a Otomani village from 3500 years ago, and a fortified Slavic settlement from the 9th century.
For something a bit more frivolous, sticky treats await at Jasło's Lollipop Museum, where you can learn how to make candy onsite. Alternatively, delve into Jasło's heritage scene at the Regional Museum, where a wealth of exhibits showcase the history, traditions and crafts of the region. Just 30 mins from Jasło, you'll also find the Museum of the Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka.
Jasło is also a perfect starting point for getting out into the stunning landscapes that surround. Embark on an hiking adventure in the nearby Low Beskid Mountains with distinct ethnic cultures like the Lemkos still living there.
