Gallery BGTK is an art gallery, located in a beautiful old wooden manor house in Zagórz. The heart that drives its activity is the association Bieszczady Group of Cultural Creators (BGTK), composed of artists and creative thinkers who thrive in the cultural milieu of the region. It is a place brimming over with a rich historical heritage where the most famous figures of Bieszczady culture - Zdzisław Pękalski, Leon Chrapko, Andrzej Wasilewski "Połonina" - are exalted and understandably so. The pulse of the space reverbates with an openness that embraces newcomers to the area and this fresh talent and vision reinvigorates and reinvents the place: it is the very lifeblood of the region.
As an association they are primarily focused on the promotion of work by local artists, while also trying to motivate and inspire others. They offer up a non-judgmental and supportive space for new artists, spurring them on to create their own initiatives, ideas and answers to the monumental quandary at the heart of all creative enterprises: how can one change the world through art to make it a better and more interesting place?
