Although E-tvrđava (or fortress) is showcased as an internet festival, there is so much more. For four days in August the interior of the fortress fortifications is given up to three stages and 100 artists. The idea of the event is to promote young artistic and musical creativity, in combination with free software, telecommunications, internet portals  and sport. The more 'out there' of the activities include a live graffiti show and a night-time florescent 'speed-badminton' tournament.

Based on one of the Serbia’s cultural monuments, E-Tvrđava project was started in 2008 to revive the city’s forgotten space, and also to promote the use of internet and attracting attention of new media and young experts to the phenomenon of the usage of internet in business. As we went to print the exact dates of the festival were not yet set, but it as in years past it will be held sometime during the first half of August.
