The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) was incredibly founded more than 160 years ago, and now boasts more than 7,000 member companies of all sizes and fields from across the country. It's a non-profit, non-governmental, independent business organisation that unites 25 branch associations and operates a network of 13 regional chambers, all for the purpose of representing the business interests of its members. The CCIS is also a member of various international organisations, and provides invaluable international connections and networking. Furthermore, it's an ideal local partner for foreign investors, offering business information, consulting services, event management and access to potential projects and technology transfer opportunities in Slovenia. The chamber's namesake building on Dimičeva Ulica is one of Ljubljana's modern architectural gems. Designed by Slovenia's leading architecture firm, Sadar+Vuga, it has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and is worth visiting purely as a tourist attraction.
