If ever there was a sign of Gdańsk’s regeneration it’s the fate of her granary buildings. These abandoned relics finally caught the eye of the investor, and in particular the hotel sector who’ve been busy turning these ghosts of the past into something fit for the future. The Polish brand Qubus have done just that and the results are eye catching to say the least – particularly at night when the whole structure is floodlit and illuminated. Set just across from old town this place is the last word in chic, with air-conditioning throughout and all the modern elements required to make your stay faultless. Gym and sauna also available, as well as one of the better hotel breakfasts to be found. And as an added bonus in the summer, they offer guests free boat trips on the neighbouring Motława river between 10:00 and 16:00 during the high season.Nice touch!
