Dating back to the 15th century, the gently rolling fields of Podole Wielkie has been a distillery site for the last 150 years, and is one of the few surviving agricultural distilleries in the country.
The small family business that continues to operate in this historic facility is focused on the traditional production methods of okowity, an aromatic clear spirit that is often overshadowed by the burgeoning market of vodka! "From field to bottle" perfectly describes how the distillery has kept their operation self-contained, without outsourcing any ingredients, having everything raised on-site and with the upmost care. A worthwhile visit for those travelling by car through Kashubia, just remember to make a reservation ahead of time if you wanna visit the facility in general! The distillery are running tours in May (Saturdays at 14:00 or 16:00) and in June (Tuesdays at 14:00 or 16:00) for 59/29 zł.
