Located under Artus Court, the historic councillors' cellar is now an exceptional restaurant, serving Polish and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and their own beer, brewed on-site!
Piwnica Rajców, translating as 'The Counsellors' Cellar', was indeed the drinking and dining hall of the city counsellors of the renaissance. Today, such prestige has been carried on in its current brewing operation, one that has garnered appreciation from the likes of the esteemed Polish Craft Beer Competition and many others. These impressive brews are served alongside Polish cuisine that has been thoughtfully curated to complement the beer, in addition to a menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes. This establishment also boasts an in-house butcher that ensure quality ingredients, with Chef Paweł Klemienko dedicated to serving up exceptional dishes.
Łukasz Mila, the Head Brewmaster, has pioneered the creation of 24 distinct beer styles since the inception of their brewing journey and plans to continue expanding this repertoire. Piwnica Rajców's award-winning beer is stored in a whopping 34,000 litres of tankage, fantastically arranged as part of the historic celler's interior design. These surrounds, together with high-quality gastronomy and exceptional brewing, highlight this place's dedication to providing visitors with an unforgettable experience of all the senses during their time in Gdańsk.
