The Made in Britain and …on making exhibitions are part of a multidisciplinary project that presents British art made in the 21st century. The exhibition consists of over 80 paintings by artists from across the UK and will include works by the likes of Tracey Emin, David Hockney, Sovereign European Art Prize Winner Susan Gunn and Contemporary British Painting Prize Winner Cathy Lomax. The curators of the first exhibition have selected 132 items from The Priseman Seabrook Collection representing painting, drawing and graphic art. The project will include a number of side events: an academic conference, classes and workshops, as well as a catalogue of the Made in Britain exhibition and …on making, a publication documenting the exhibition. It is a presentation of 44 photographs by nine female photographers. The exhibition will show just how vital Europe has been to the British painting tradition.
