Here’s a fun and alternative tour you can take particularly if you have an interest in the PRL (Polish People’s Republic AKA Communist-era Poland). You’ll step aboard a vintage Hungarian ‘Ikarus’ bus and a guide takes you on a tour of Gdańsk from a communist-era perspective. Whilst visiting some of the more popular landmarks in the city as well as going down paths-less-trodden you'll hear many fascinating anecdotes and lesser-known facts, which make both the tour and the beloved-Ikarus all the more memorable. Finally, you’ll finish up by getting a taste of some typical Polish food from the communist period.
The Ikarus can take up to 44 people at a time. To find out more, contact our friends over at Poland By Locals at contact@polandbylocals.com
