"Echoes of the Unseen" presents the first Polish solo exhibition by Ukrainian artist Valentyn Odnoviun, who, over a period of eight years and across Eastern European locations, has captured the haunting remnants of forced seclusion and totalitarian violence. His contextual photography delves into a hidden history, exploring sites of imprisonment and extermination from the Second World War and communism. Through unconventional techniques, Odnoviun's photographs teeter between abstraction and figuration, bearing witness to a chilling continuity of purpose in these spaces. Addressing Polish subjects, such as the Warsaw Uprising, he prompts reflection on history, human nature, and the ever-present threat to freedom. Odnoviun's work transcends boundaries, invoking a profound dialogue about the past and present.
