The last original lunch bar of the Gdańsk Shipyards, this local institution has been in non-stop operation - aside for a brief break during martial law - since 1980. In that time the interior design (PRL relics, hard hats, old banknotes), atmosphere (blue collar), service (stern) and menu offer (typical PRL bar food) have all changed very little. Once frequented almost exclusively by shipyard employees - including Lech Wałęsa himself! - today anyone can drop into this legendary time capsule for a blast of nostalgia, regret or just a look around; or stay for a cheap meal and cheeky drink. The menu is basically pierogi, bigos, żurek and pork cutlets if you're lucky, zapiekanki, burgers and fries if you're not, and there are only a few tables inside, with a few more outside in summer. Primarily a cheap, lunch bar by day, on summer weekends it turns into a dodgy bar where no one gets out without taking a shot of vodka (or several).
