From the 12th till the 15th century Eindhoven dominated the regional beer market, as far as some western towns in Germany. The last of the 30 microbreweries lost its importance in the 17th century. The role of Eindhoven seemed to be gone, until a few years ago some dedicated beerlovers decided to start again brewing some new beers.
