This compact open-air museum at a picturesque location in the heart of the Genneper Park offers visitors a glimpse of life as it used be in Eindhoven. Stroll through the Iron Age village of Eversham before entering a replica of medieval Endehoven, as it was once known. Adorable, enthusiastic actors in period dress create a convincing picture of life before iPhones and the internet that even today's modern children can't help but enjoy. At the weekend and during school holidays a large variety of educational activities are available such as baking bread over a fire, javelin throwing and tin casting. You can also take a ride in a dugout canoe, have a sword fight or take the wooden rope ferry across the river. The museum is a great place to sample authentic ancient Dutch cuisine, especially the homemade bread. Highly recommended.
