Contemporary Romanian food of the highest order. The name, by the way, means slum, but it's used ironically, given that the place is anything but. It is located in a wonderful 19th century palace, for a start, just a short walk from the Casa Poporului. The interior is amazing: traditionally Romanian but with a wonderful modern twist. Relaxed and welcoming the mood is set for the food, which is deliciously inventive with crafty tricks used to make the most simple dishes little short of luxurious. Gorgeous interior courtyard. We love it
