Generally speaking there are two types of restaurants in this part  of Utrecht. One typically spends a fortune on interior design, but forgets that people usually go out to enjoy a tasty meal. The other type seems a bit scruffy looking and lacks ambience, but serves good food. Fortunately, De Branding takes the best of both worlds and is a positive exception to the rule. This is rather obvious as the place is full of locals seven days a week. The small, but scenic terrace is also a big hit and with decorations such as fishing nets, its easy to guess that it specialises in seafood.
