The international competition is the core of the Zurich Film Festival, which grows bigger each year. International movies compete for the coveted Golden Eye, the festival's main award, in a number of different categories. Apart from the contestants, many other films are screened here including international premieres. In recent years the organisers have even been successful in attracting big international stars to Zurich. This year Cate Blanchett, Kristen Stewart und Julie Delpy are expected to attend.
