A Gaul is a workhorse, and this one is friendly, if a bit stubborn - a real workhorse indeed. Its stable is a food truck-like container right next to Hardbrücke train station, just behind the alternative club Helsinki. You order your food right at the counter, where you'll get a number. Then you take a seat at one of the tables that are scattered around the 'stable' and wait until your number is called (when it's busy you 'll need a little patience). On offer are burgers, sausages, wraps, soups and the like as well as an ever-changing daily menu, all locally-sourced and of organic quality. The burger we had was tasty, the meat done medium just the way we like it, but if we were forced to find a fault, the bun was perhaps toasted a touch too long. It's worth mentioning that the workhorse preserved a lovely spot for his paddock in an area where modern glass buildings and concrete usually reign supreme.
