Just next to Helvetiaplatz in the Langstrasse district, the gravel square around the old Kanzlei school house is flooded by an urban crowd every night who while away their evening with a cold beer from Xenix, a bar and cinema situated in a wooden building next to the school. And there's food, too! The outdoor bar has to close at midnight, but from Thursday - Saturday you can buy drinks inside until 01:30 and try to smuggle them outside - which is usually no problem. This is where urban and multicultural Zurich meets.
