With its dark wooden bar, tables and booths, its living room-style shelving and its green walls, the aptly named Green Room definitely looks and feels like a traditional Irish pub. Appropriate beers are also poured, namely Guinness, Kilkenny and Smithwick's, which are accompanied by some Belgian, German and US beers as well as local favourites Valaisanne Pale Ale and Feldschlösschen Lager. Beer snacks include chicken wings and nachos, but proper mains like fish 'n' chips can also be had. We tried the chilli con carne, which presented gratin-style with cheddar cheese baked on top. All in all a good meal, but a little more spice would have been even better. Live bands often play here, a pub quiz attracts crowds on Sundays and DJs occasionally entertain patrons at the weekend.
