Travel back in time and explore how the dinosaurs lived. Here they almost come to life with some impressive skeletons, many models and movies. Until April 21 an original Archaeopteryx fossil is on show here, one of only eleven worldwide. Archaeopteryx is a genus of early bird that is transitional between feathered dinosaurs and modern birds. There are many other unique fossils on show in the permanent exhibition including fossil footsteps and eggs. It’s also a good trip with children: in the dino garden kids can excavate fossils, play and even grill a sausage in the picnic area. To get there take the S14 train (direction Hinwil) to Aathal (26 minutes). From the station there it’s a short sign-posted walk.
