The Observatory Urania is your chance to reach for the stars in the middle of Zurich. It was opened in 1907 and was renovated - including the telescope - for its 100th anniversary in 2007. Public tours start Thu to Sat at 21:00 (20:00 after the switch to winter time), duration 90 minutes, ticket office opens 15 minutes earlier. If weather is bad, the tour shows an alternative programme with simulations on big screens. The tour is in German, but if you’re into stars, just try your luck. The entrance is hidden in the courtyard passage towards Deutsche Bank. Private tours in English possible.
