Golf in Zurich
A problem you might face however are the playing restrictions all these courses have. Most probably unlike your home country, you need at least a certificate of proficiency, the so called platzreife if you want to play on a Swiss golf course. The platzreife (PR) is an official document, stating you know the basics of golf. You have to pass an exam to get it. On top of that many clubs demand their guests to be a member of a Swiss club and therefore to have a membership card of the Swiss Golf Association (or www.asg.ch) and a certain handicap. A club membership in your home country is sometimes recognized as well. We recommend to always check the exact access rules to a course on the respective website or by phone and notify them of your visit in advance. And don’t forget to book your tee times well in advance, especially on weekends (sometimes guests are allowed on weekdays only). There are some pitch & putt courses where one can play without memberships, certificate or handicaps.
We list the nearest and best driving ranges, golf and pitch & putt courses.
