This is about as deep into the Alps as you can get on a day trip. The huge resort Laax is accessible from the three villages Flims, Laax and Falera and is loved by snowboarders and carving skiers alike. You'll find everything you could wish for: 220 kilometres of slopes, lifts up to 3,000 metres, a glacier to ski on, a snow park and freeride slopes as well. Public transport gets you there in less than two hours (change to the bus in Chur). The earliest stop to get off the bus is Flims Bergbahnen - it's easy to access the resort from there. There's a big rental and sports centre right next to the valley station.
