Each summer, the restaurant Piazza on Idaplatz, a nice square to hang out on, opens up a little pop-up gelateria next door, where they sell their homemade ice cream and sorbets. The choice of flavours is not as huge here as elsewhere, but the ice cream is flavourful, we could really taste the raspberries and the vanilla also had that certain something to it. On the downside there were some tiny pieces of ice in it, so the experience was not as creamy as it could have been. We enjoyed it nevertheless, while sitting on one of the benches on the square watching a gruelling competition of pétanque players. Not a bad summer evening at all.
