Flumserberg, the biggest snow sports resort between Zurich and the Grison Alps in the east of Switzerland, has 65km of slopes and 17 lifts. After a 60-minute train ride to Unterterzen (change in Ziegelbrücke), a cable car takes you up to Tannenboden where you finally have access to the resort. The slopes range from beginners and intermediate to expert levels, which are clearly marked in blue, red or black, so everyone can find what they're looking for. There are three snow parks, 20km of cross-country ski trails as well as a 3km-long sledge run. To gear up, Flumserberg offers rental shops in Unterterzen, Tannenboden and Tannenheim and winter hiking trails are also available if you prefer a walk in the snow to action on the slopes.
