This short trip takes you up to one of the best lookout points in the Zurich area: Felsenegg. Getting up there with the only aerial cable car operating in the canton of Zurich is also fun. First, take the S4 train in the direction of Langnau-Gattikon and get off after 15 minutes at Adliswil. From there it’s a well-signposted 10-minute walk to the valley station of the aerial cable car, which leaves every 15 minutes for Felsenegg (summer 08:05 - 22:05, Sun 08:05 - 20:05). Once you’re up there, refresh yourself in the restaurant and of course take in the view of the city, the lake and the Alps. There are also many options for a walk. Follow the panorama trail to Uetliberg (90 minutes), where the S10 train will take you back to Zurich.
The trip to Felsenegg is included with the Zürich Card (as well as many other attractions).Buy it here in advance.
