Franzos means Frenchman in Swiss German - and we really felt like in a bistro in Paris when we visited this place next to Central. Old wooden chairs, tables with sculpted cast iron feet and the framed photos of French celebrities like Brigitte Bardot or Jean Paul Belmondo really did their job. The same can be said of the drinks and the food on offer - the white wine was good, the croque monsieur (ham and cheese toast) crispy and the salad chèvre chaud (warm goat cheese) perfect. A lovely spot for an apéro, to while away some hours - or even for a lunch or snack break on your Niederdorf tour.
