In memory of the one and only Croatian basketball legend Dražen Petrović, a commemorative match will be played in the Zagreb Arena on September 5. During this sports spectacle, the Croatian basketball team will play against a selected European team. In honour of Dražen and in the spirit of this year’s Olympics, the match will be attended by Dražen’s teammates and silver medalists from the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, along with many other international and local legendary basketball players and coaches.

Zagreb Jazz Festival is welcoming two exciting performances this September, both by incredibly talented musical artists. Billy Cobham is a Panamanian American musician with a reputation of being the fastest drummer and an absolute jazz legend, having started his career back in the late 1960s. He will perform with the Billy Cobham’ Spectrum 50 Band on September 17 in Kino SC. Avram Fefer is an American jazz saxophonist, clarinet player and composer with 13 released albums as a band leader. He will perform with the Avram Fefer Quartet on September 28 in the Small Lisinski Hall.


RNB Confusion has been organising the wildest parties and clubbing experiences in Zagreb since 2003. This September 7th from 5pm, RNB is launching a daily party called “Back 2 the City” in the Museum of Contemporary Art. For all of those who dream of cutting Footloose to some of the best hip-hop, urban and R&B hits in an art museum, this is an event you cannot miss.





Croatian artist Mary May has been categorized as an incredible Folk-Americana Blues artist since publishing her first song, “Softest Tune”, in 2018. She will be unveiling her now second studio album, “Now Tell Me How You Break”, in Kino Kinoteka, Zagreb on September 21 through a raw and unforgettable live performance.

The Gallery of Juraj Klović in Rijeka is welcoming a unique exhibition by Slovenian-Croatian sculptor Nina Lekić from September 13 - 27. Through her artwork, Nina explores the close connection between contemporary materials and techniques and the space in which each piece is created.

La mula de Parenzo Tour is an interpretative walking tour conducted by an impersonator of the famous historical lady from Poreč. The tour gives an interesting insight into the history of Poreč through interactive stories and fun facts about the city and its former habitants. You can join the tour on September 5, 19, and 27. 

Regional cheesemakers will gather on September 21 and 22 in Svetvinčenat to present their rich dairy selections at the greatest Cheese Festival of the year. Alongside many delicious tastings, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about old Istrian crafts through various exhibitions and be a part of the best Istrian goat contest. So, if your taste buds are anything like Jerry the mouse’s, and if you’re up for a fun time, then you are the ‘cheesen’ one to join this festival!

The Festival of World Literature was founded by Fraktura Publishing House in 2013. In 7 days at the beginning of September (1 - 7) , with the Festival of World Literature, Zagreb become one of the centers of world literature, places to present new titles, where authors discuss their novels and many other topics in panels and round tables. The program of the festival incorporates more events every year, embodying a highly significant cultural platform on a national and international level. The events are moderated by leading literary editors, writers and critics. Every year, around 20 of Croatia’s most distinguished painters make portraits of the Festival participants as well as paintings inspired by motives from their books. As a literary and cultural manifestation, the festival includes literary talks, round tables, film screenings and graphic novel discussions. Opening and closing events of the Festival are accompanied with music performance. The aim of the festival is to bring together the best of local and international literature, through a series of live events, as well as to provide an opportunity for the audience to interact with contemporary writers. The sculpture and installations of Alem Korkut will be showcased from June 11 to September 22 at the Museum of Fine Arts - Split

Hidden Faces, an exhibition with over 120 of Salvador Dali's original works from his personal collection, Kesauri is coming to Croatia for the first time this summer. Dali's lithographs, sculptures, medals, serigraphs on silver and silk, along with other impressive art pieces that secured him a place among the greatest names in the art world of today, will be on display in the Cate Dujšin Ribar Gallery located within the Trogir City Museum from June 5 – September 28.

Peristil Vibrez Festival - Hrvatski Dom Split (Croatian House Split) has curated an exclusive program for this festival, which runs between September 13 and 16 at the iconic Peristyle in Diocletian’s Palace. The legendary Ivo Pogorelić, the dynamic duo Igudesman & Joo and the iconic Billy Cobham will grace the stage with their performances.

The main goal of Organ vida - International Festival of Photography has always been to discuss key global and social issues, and to encourage critical thinking and dialogue through photography. This year’s theme will be no different. The new edition Creeps and Butterflies is all about odd disobediences ~ micro-rebellions, gut reactions, instincts, intense yearnings and bizarre obsessions — the weirdly visceral.In addition to the exhibition- various conferences, workshops, lectures, performances, and movie screenings will also be held. The ZEZ Festival (October 9 -12) has been conceived as the continuation of the concert cycle which for the past  years has featured experimental music at the KSET Club with over 60 concerts up for grabs as well as workshops, lectures and screenings. Different locations around Zagreb.
