Knebu really is a winery like no other. The headquarters are located across the border in Tomislavgrad (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and these wines are produced 900 metres above sea level, which is unique enough before taking into account the hands-on process and special barrels. If you can’t get to Tomislavgrad (you should; the monastery is delightful), the Knebu Wine Store in Zagreb is the next best place, a sophisticated and gorgeous wine shop in the heart of town with a great range on sale. There are also free tastings, allowing visitors to try before they buy. Trust us, you will buy.
