This November, Čakovec swings with the 30th Jazz Fair! Over three days, global jazz, blues, and crossover artists will take the stage, filling the Čakovec Culture Center with vibrant sounds.
Opening on November 21, the Kelly Green Trio kicks off the festival with soulful jazz standards and originals. Known for their captivating style, this New York-based trio has wowed audiences across the U.S., and their latest album "Seems" is already making waves.
Sharing the stage, the iconic Čakovec Big Band brings nearly 30 years of jazz legacy, performing an exciting program under Jošua Kovačević’s direction.
On Friday, November 22, renowned German pianist Clemens Christian Poetzsch graces the Jazz Fair stage. Known for blending classical, jazz, and electronic elements, Poetzsch brings a free-spirited, improvisational style to his music. His acclaimed debut album "People and Places" led to sold-out shows across Japan and the UK, establishing him as a celebrated artist in the contemporary jazz scene.
Following Poetzsch, blues fans are in for a treat with *An Evening with Eric Clapton’s Songs,* a tribute project led by Croatian guitarist Ivan Pešut. This nine-piece ensemble will perform Clapton’s biggest hits—perfect for fans to relive the magic of blues guitar mastery at its best.
The final night of the Jazz Fair, Saturday, November 23, is all about swing! Marko Tolja and his septet will close the festival with a tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra. Known as one of Croatia's finest vocalists and a multiple Porin award-winner, Tolja is a passionate fan of swing, earning him the nickname 'Croatian Sinatra.' In his popular project "Dear Mr. Sinatra," Tolja, along with his talented ensemble, will perform timeless classics, transporting the audience back to Hollywood's golden era.
