The Necks is an Australian trio consisting of pianist Chris Abrahams, drummer Tony Buck and double bassist Lloyd Swanton. Their musical style, which they have been known for for over three decades, is characterized by long and repetitive compositions with a lot of improvisation, free spirit, energy and an open mind. They are of course, only one of the many big names that will perform at the NO Jazz Festival, an international festival of new jazz that will be held from November 10 -24 at the Lauba gallery and in the Vintage Industrial Bar in Zagreb.
