The festival Varsovia Cantat is organised by the Choral Society LIRA in Warsaw and Artistic Agency MELODY. The festival is open to all amateur choirs from Poland and abroad. The choirs will be competing in five categories: mixed, equal voices, youth, children, and chamber. Their performances will be evaluated by a jury comprised of experienced musicians. This year's jury is headed by Romuald Twardowski and accompanied by Damijan Močnik , Agnes Gerenday, Prof. Bernhard Gfrerer and Marcin Cmiel. Aside from the Diploma and Golden Lyre statuette there will be the Romuald Twardowski Prize of 1000,00 EURO awarded to the foreign choir for the best rendition of a song composed by Romuald Twardowski. The concerts take place in various venues.
