In 1935 in Słuszków (located in an important region of medieval Poland) a treasure was found: more than 13,000 gold coins dating back to the 12th century. Nearly 100 years later, in 2020, researchers returned to the area to find the remains of the the treasure but instead they unearthed something else: more treasure. Silver coins, gold rings, fragments of silver jewellery and silver cakes were found in a pot also dating back to the 12th century. This exhibition tells the story of the most recent discovery
