With its brilliant location overlooking Piłsudski Square, and a Frisbee throw away from the heart of the Old Town, the Victoria has been a legendary landmark in the city since the mid 1970’s. The latest public space re-design, by French architect Didier Gomez, is not only spot-on with the current retro trend for all things 1970’s, but has also managed to stay sympathetic to the origins of the building’s architecture. The geometric modernity of the era prevails with 'op-art' patterns and luxurious fixtures and fittings emphasising the overall effect. In keeping with Sofitel’s policy of mixing French and local aesthetics, the rooms have been beautifully designed by Warsaw’s own Kaczmarek Studio. Staying in the lap of luxury, suites come kitted out with a Bose sound system and a Nespresso machine. If you are looking for business meeting accommodations they have conference rooms with all the modern gizmos and trimmings. Stunningly laid back and elegant.
