This one's for all the train enthusiasts! Station Museum is located in a former train station, Warszawa Główna Osobowa (Warsaw Main Railway Station), which originally served as a goods transport hub on the Warsaw-Vienna line from 1875 and then later became a main train station from 1945 as it was one of the few to not be destroyed during the Second World War. It was eventually closed in 1997. Four large rooms (2 permanent exhibitions and the occasional temporary exhibition) full of working and static models of classic and modern trains, large train sets, a display of uniforms and a huge collection of old engines in all possible conditions through the door in the room on the right. Make a point to head outside where you will find one of the few (if not only) remaining armoured railway trains in Europe. Heaven if you like this kind of thing, and made even better by sound English translations. Guided tours available in English, German, Russian and French by prior arrangement (250zł), in Polish (180zł), other languages (250zł) and last 1-1.5 hours.

Average visiting time: 60-90mins.
